Needing a space to work from home, Sam converted her unused spare room into a clever office space decorated in a modern colour scheme, with clever upcycle projects and lots of nifty storage solutions.

Eclectic finds and a flair for the exotic give a Gulf Coast cottage its well-travelled allure.

A wall of glass blocks between the vintage tub and the shower provides privacy. A streamlined bench offers instant and practical storage for a small space. A vintage chair makes a stylish spot for towels and a natural sponge Homeowner Nina and her rescued dog and BFF Yeshi. Vintage silverware and an etched-glass carafe are fitting for the stylish yet simple table setting. Nina chose a soothing palette and artwork that are gentle on the eye and psyche. Nina's soulful personality comes through in spaces with a calming and welcoming energy. The weathered dining room table is given a face-lift with an embroidered sari laid atop a white cotton sheet. A cut-glass aqua lantern adds a touch of intrigue and complements the color scheme. Fresh flowers and fruit are staples of Nina’s lifestyle. Nina turned the enclosed porch into a cozy sitting room complete with a sofa draped in gauzy netting. Nina’s knack for mixing patterns and textures is evident on the open shelves.

Long Island, New York, residents Michael and Carole Sino love spending weekends in Chatham, a picturesque seaside Cape Cod town.

Glass backsplash tiles, a new vanity, a round mirror––that recalls a porthole, make thermal bathroom pretty and comfortable. A deep plate rail and hooks add architecture, plus display space for basket storage and favorite finds. The front door opens right into the living area and heralds the cottage blue color accents. Opposite the fireplace, the partial wall separates the sleeping area from the living room, and provides privacy while maintaining the airy vibe. A long narrow console fills a niche to the right of the fireplace and below the window. The open space includes the living room, kitchen an eating area. A vignette of driftwood, beach tone and glass float underscore the mariner theme.
