Synopsis
When Holly Audrey Williams, the granddaughter of country musical legend Hank Williams, discovered a 997-square-foot Victorian cottage in Leiper's Fork, a quaint rural community just outside Nashville she was smitten. 'I always thought it would be fun to renovate,' she recalls of the little home she eventually bought, 'but I definitively wanted to keep its historic bones in place.' Age was part of the charm, after all. 'So every wall and floor stayed in the same spot,' she continues. 'Nothing changed much, except for the kitchen and bathroom, which were completely updated.' When it comes to cosmetic alterations, Holly did it right. The plaster and beadboard walls were finished in a warm white, and the original oak floors throughout stayed intact. . 'I am all about mixing new and old.' She says.' I also like to stick to my budget. I may splurge on something, but I always balance that with a bargain.' And, as she adds 'All houses have stories and I love to help tell those stories.'
