Autumnal Farm

Artist in Residence
Noted tatie designer Jennifer Paganelli turns the rooms of her Connecticut farmhouse into sweet, sensational eye candy!

 In the master bedroom, tone-on-tone damasks offerS a soft layer without detracting from the showcase fabrics. Jennifer's own fabric decorate even space of her home. An armoire hod some fo Jennifers fabrics and designs, which are sold all over the world. In vases and on textiles, flowers grace Jennifer's rooms. White walls and trim, along with white lacquered vintage furniture, set the stage for fabrics with classic motifs and saturated  color. Five years after they moved in, Jennifer and Peter renovated to open up the cramped kitchen. Pretty details, like the lampshade and vase are always part of Jennifer's decorating touches. Textile designer Jennifer Paganelli and her best friend. Jennifer serves up less eye-popping pattern in the dining room so that her favorite collection— watery blue glassware— can steal the scene. Jennifer and her daughter Katie. Jennifer works with colors three have a similar energy level––the same brightness. Much of the home’s art is by Pennsylvania German folk artist Barbara Strawser. Her art enhances watercolors that blend with— and sometimes inspire—a room’s palette. To top off a curvy French headboard, Jennifer created a garden inspired canopy by hanging a double-sided fabric panel over a ceiling mounted, 18-inch pole.

New England Spirit
Nancy and Rick Chace took a few years to get to know the Victorian era they bought in the historic district of Bristol, Rhode Island 'just a stone's throw from the harbour'.

Colorful and versatile furnishings make the living room comfortable. The new staircase post was carved with an Eastlake flower.  A new mudroom at the back of the house serves as a family entrance. Glass floats and a starfish honor the coastal location. In the kitchen, an alcove offers just enough space for casual family meals. A Gothic mirror and fireplace surround. he master bedroom continues the theme of mixing old and new and the color palette. Rescued from an 1890s tool factory, this multi- drawer piece offers much needed storage. A collection of blue bowls, pitchers and jars. The renovated bathroom features all modern conveniences. Chalk paint unifies and refreshes the dining table and 1960s chairs. A blue 1940s vase and silverware are family heirlooms. Colorful accessories make meals feel like a picnic.

Waterside Living
Refreshed with colours borrowed for sky, surf and sand, as dated waterfront properties is bought back to life.

The living room embodies the seaside elegance of West Indie style. Italian glass mosaic tiles set as cabochons between travertine stone pavers echo the wall color in the master bedroom. Dutchy, the family Cavalier King Charles spaniel, greets guests at the front of gallery that wraps around the house. Upholstered chairs  balance the heft of the the dining room rustic farm table . Colorful paintings and shells imbue very space with island flair. The mater suite features a West-Indian style tongue-and-groove ceiling, grass cloth walls and turquoise accents. Nature comes in via the powder room banana-leaf wallpaper pattern and a colorful painting. The cabinet's center section has roll-back doors to hide the TV when not in use. Wherever you look, there is always an element that really waterside living. Here, the surfboard is the star. Traditional  style goes bold in the kitchen where white crown and box moldings are offset by lively leaf-green walls. Dana and Ramsey's twins are always ready for a beach day. With a myriad of shells arranged in a mosaic-like designed the fireplaces the focal point of the living room. A starfish print and shell-studded wall sconces woes the near-by beachside location.
