Synopsis
He lives here with his fiancé Gina who is also involved in interiors. Crisp white walls and floors are the backdrop for the couples collectables - from vintage mirrors to retro furniture and special pieces of contemporary art including a Damien Hirst which, with its colourful dots, looks dramatic against the dark grey walls. These unique pieces tell a story of Erik’s world travels where he takes his inspiration for his bespoke rug collection - Lindstrom rugs. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the Californian palm trees into the home adding a touch of nature which complements the minimalist lines of the design. Contemporary furniture and lighting have been contrasted with quirky eclectic pieces and, by blending vintage and modern, each room has a nod to the past from the portraits of Erik’s great grand parents in the dining room to the collection of antique-framed nudes in the powder room. Enter the house via the yellow door to be greeted by a Warhol of Mick Jagger on a bespoke black and white hand-painted patterned wall. Each room is as breathtaking as the last with palm tree views and a myriad of treasures around every corner. A spiral staircase leads from the kitchen to a large terrace at the very top of the house with spectacular views over Venice the Hollywood hills and even the Hollywood sign!
