Toby Hart's house proves that minimalism and relaxed living can go hand-in-hand.
“I really wasn’t looking for a project,” reflects Toby Hart. “When I saw this house I thought I could change the carpets, give it a lick of paint, and I’d be there.”
Oh the sweet naivety of the first timer, a fact Toby was soon to realise himself as his quick cosmetic job evolved into a full-on transformation of this late 19th century terraced house in London’s Chelsea. “At one point, I remember opening the front door and looking down at the foundations and then up at the eaves,” he recalls. “The house was just a shell.”
