Synopsis
Sassy is the daughter of artist Juanita Homan and is also related to Sir Harry Luke, diplomat, orientalist and author of "The City of Dancing Dervishes and Other Sketches and Studies from the Near East" and other books on the Middle East and Mediterranean.  She is also related to playwright Peter Luke and the artistic and theatrical is often present in her own work, paint, fabrics and found objects arranged.  She professes an interest in "twists on classical themes." The flat would have originally been the entire piano nobile of an imposing terrace, part of James Burton's New Town, built mid 1800's, but has been split into a number of rooms. The main living room overlooking the promenade and beach is part living room, dining room and studio for larger works and the whole flat is furnished with remarkable finds from junk shops, sales and fairs.  Sassy lives there with her two teenage daughters, her son is a model working in London and internationally.
