Synopsis
Before becoming a property developer, Gary was in the catering business and had been the manager of some of London’s more famous restaurants, but he was looking for a lifestyle change. A practical man Gary, and his wife Sandra, had always done up their own houses. However they had lived in and around London since moving to England from their native Southern Ireland
So when Gary found a derelict old Mill on the internet Sandra was not best pleased. As she explains 'He had to persuade me, and all our families as to why it was a good idea to move to a derelict windmill in Norfolk. I went with him to see it and as we drew up in the car my heart sank as I realized there was no way I could persuade him not to buy it.'
However three years on, it is a different story, the family are happy, settled in their renovated new home and love the community they now live in.
