Synopsis
Despite its state of disrepair, Charlie Hamlett and her husband Shane were charmed by the cottage covered porch, original heart pine floors and 10-foot ceilings.They bought the home, decide to keep the floors but gut the rest of the interior, The entire renovation took 18 months. But Charlie is a visionary armed with confidence, determination and paintbrushes. Charlie thrives on discovering unique furniture at secondhand shops, thrift stores and auctions. Design inspiration comes from pieces with possibilities. An upcycling enthusiast, she has refurbished piece throughout her home using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and finishing techniques.
