Synopsis
Her architects, Alma-nac, have created a building that sits quietly in its plot and features large openings which make the most of the views out to the landscaped garden and the South Downs beyond. An important part of her brief was that the five-bedroom house could be as comfortable for one as it could be for ten, so the ground floor guest bedrooms can be effectively separated off, transforming the building into a one-bedroom house with studio and study when she is on her own. As a keen amateur artist, Jenny has using painterly fabrics, picking out the colours to create bold feature walls. Her furnishings include a number of mid-century finds, which complement the pared-back architecture.
