Synopsis
The house that was built on two levels into the hill was not in an appalling state but it was tired and old. “The kitchen was in desperately dated but I am pleased that I didn’t spend extra money on a kitchen to someone else’s tastes.” When they first moved in they lived downstairs and began with making small amendments. They white washed the bare brick work and fixed shelves and hooks.
