When Emma Clanfield and her husband and daughter moved to a newish property in Leicestershire, the kitchen needed work. It faced north so was cold in winter and a wall separated it from the dining room.

Synopsis
Emma, an interior designer, asked local builders to remove the wall, level the floor and install new kitchen units. Now she can chat to guests as she cooks and can often be found working at the kitchen table as the room is so light and bright. The renovations cost c. £26,000 including building work, units and Rangemaster cooker etc..
