Synopsis
Nestled in amongst the forests and glittering lakes of Småland in Sweden, this beautifully preserved timber-built cottage was built in the late 30s. Moving here three years ago, Elisabeth loved the house for its romantic beauty and untouched charm. ‘I’ve dreamt of having a house in the country all of my life,’ explains Elisabeth. ‘We have always lived and worked in the city, so when I turned 40 in 2010, I was tempted to buy a summer house as a present to myself. This cottage feels friendly and welcoming, plus I love the way it reminds me of the Swedish author Astrid Lundgren’s books. It is totally untouched.
