Synopsis
It is a heart –warming scene - English to the core –and surely one to revive many an urban dweller’s dream of seeking a more peaceful life amid the glories of the Cotswold countryside. The couple, who did indeed abandon a metropolitan existence in London’s Notting Hill, to seek greener pastures, bought the three-storey, oak -beamed barn in 1996. The barn is part of a five acre plot. ‘So, yes, we have been able to embrace country living to the full,’ smiles Lucinda. ‘During the time we have been here, we’ve kept chickens, alpacas, even pigs ‘. Over the years, too, they have carefully re-organised the accommodation in the barn, to suit the needs of a family with four growing children, endowing it with a lively decorative stamp along the way.
