Synopsis
A fish and chip takeaway was behind a life-changing move for Dee and Phil Cartwright when they spotted a dilapidated cottage for sale in one of Whistable’s prime locations.'We love Whitstable and came here on a day trip,’ says Dee. ‘We bought fish and chips and walked along the road to find a place to sit and eat them when we saw the cottage for sale. I had come to Whitstable on holiday every year as a child and I knew the street well. It has always been a popular place to live and opportunities to buy a house here are rare. ’
