A CO2 Neutral Floating Mancave in the Lowlands

A Dutch entrepeneur switched – after his divorce- from land to water. His new state of the art house is a two-story, three bedroom, 2,150-square foot houseboat on the bank of the Spaarne, a scenic river flowing to central Haarlem.

Synopsis
The house boat is equiped with an energy-efficient heating and cooling system using air-exchange pumps, plus 50 solar panels in the roof. The floating man cave of Mr. Schelvis has an upper-floor master suite so he can start his day- straight from his bed – with a few leaps in the Spaarne. And after breakfast he can start rehearsing with his band, playing Rolling Stones covers at full volume in the soundproof room on the lower deck.
