There are many reasons why you might want your home photographed professionally – you may be really proud of what you've achieved - and justifiably so, many homes are a labour of love for their owners. It's great to be able to share your hard work and ideas. Your home could end up included in a coffee table book, used for an advertising campaign, or in a glossy interiors magazine.
Having your home photographed professionally can give you an opportunity to showcase your business. Artists, interior designers, furniture makers, soft furnishing designers or kitchen/bathroom manufacturers all benefit from having great images of their products in real homes. It could be that you fill your home with up-cycled furniture or create your own lamps from salvaged material.
Obviously, this is not an opportunity for free product shots or direct advertising, but to have your home and your creations featured in an interiors magazine is great exposure for your work.
