The Passionate Collector

The first thing you noticed in Bridget Schwartz's Oakland, California, apartment is its playful mix of colors. The living room is painted lavender, the dining room mint green, and the bedroom a rosy pink. All are decorated with vibrant furnishings.

Synopsis
"Clearly, I love saturated color in unusual combinations," says Bridget who shares her 800-square-foot home with her cats, Hershie and Minky. Inspired by influences near and far, Bridget relies on her favorite flea markets and shopping spree in foreign lands to gather a mix of exotic fabric patterns, abstract prints and diverse antiques. India is one of her favorite countries to visit once a year to experience the continent's rich culture and riotous colors. She also shops for fabrics for her line of vintage-inspired boho dresses, yarns for her crochet work, and good to sell.
