Synopsis
Built in 2008, the manor-like exterior is faced in rough-cut rock crowned with a red tile roof. Inside the house, arched doorways, pale buff-color walls, and rough surface stone flooring continue the look. Furnishings were chosen to match its grandeur and amplify comfort.
Piles of hand-loomed silk pillows, statuary tucked into arched niches, and tall wrought-iron torch add to the illusion of royal French living. Golden sunflowers, bistro mustard jars, and boldly painted ceramic pitchers present the casual side of French Mediterranean style.
'I'm always daydreaming that I'm soaking in the sunshine in Provence,' Edie, who owns a French-themed gourmet cheese shop, explains. 'The house makes me feel like I'm there.
