Synopsis
When Fiona McLeod’s second husband, Jeremy Hartley, came into her life he brought with him a mini grand piano, which takes pride of place in their renovated basement, now fondly known to them as the “The Bar.” ‘We are sociable people and the basement is a great place to entertain family and friends,’ says Fiona.  Taking a lead from the gregarious and boldly decorated basement the rest of their Regency villa is dotted with Fiona’s own photography and finds from their travels in Sri Lanka, where they now own their own second home. ‘The high ceilings and large proportions of the house can take bold statements and my favourite item is the feather lamp, given to us by friends who stayed in our Sri Lankan villa,’ says Fiona. Outside the front door was painted with an upended Union Jack to mark and celebrate the London Olympics…..
