Synopsis
Nestled among Madaket's scenic dunes, the little home was originally built as a rumrunner's shack in 1910, and then converted to a guest cottage in the 70s. When Dan and Julie Bathon purchased the quintessential home cobbled together from vintage fishing shacks, they kept the colourful interior ranging from coral to turquoise to lemon intact and opted for large-scale furnishings un cheerful hues. Much of the home's eclectic mix of vintage furnishings was purchased at Nantucket boutiques and tag sales. Its unbridled quirky charm, along with its one-of-a kind location and history, make this grown-ups playhouse a dream escape.
