Synopsis
But things changed. They got three children. And they loved the city so much that they decided to stay. So they started renovating, knocking down a wall left and right. But not until they hired an architect, things really changed. Floors came down, mezzanines were installed, the wall giving to the garden was made completely made out of glass, even parts of the roof and in between walls were made out of glass. The dark, narrow house became flooded by natural light, while original parts of the old house were restored. Old and new: a great combination. They now live there for more than twenty years. The children are not babies anymore. And they are no longer the young city dwellers they once were. But the house still remains a safe and happy haven for all of them.
