The Houseboat

The Houseboat in Poole Harbour - owned by architect and developer Roger Zogolovitch - is an award-winning new build overlooking the sea, whose soaring black timber and concrete exterior is designed to resemble the hulls of upturned boats.

Synopsis
Roger and his wife Carola have owned a holiday house next door for more than 30 years and The Houseboat stands on a plot previously used for garaging. Its sociable split-level floorplan, incorporating five levels in all, is ideal for family gatherings and there are cathedral-scale rear windows, facing the coast. A keen watercolourist and linocut printmaker, Roger also has a small art studio down by the beach.
