Synopsis
With the aid of a little blue book of Georgian house details, left to Sophie by her Grandmother, the couple reinstated many original features and then extended the house to cater for their growing family, four pony mad children and a handful of dogs. Sophie decorated each room individually sourcing items old and new, though she has a particular penchant for vintage. Living near to Newark Antiques and Collectors Fair made vintage purchases easy. She also forged strong links with local dealers who kept an eye out for things she was hunting for,
The completed house is an eclectic mix of formal and casual and makes a wonderful family home.
