Synopsis
“It’s very important to protect the historical buildings of the peninsula. People don’t realize enough their value”, says Vedat Semiz. Vedat, a successful business entrepreneur from Istanbul, is not unknown in Bodrum. He is the one who built the stylish Ada Hotel in Göltürkbükü before it became the hot spot that it is now. He has an impressed knowledge of history and his collection of art. Although he is and stays a business man, he has a particular love for Turkish history and understands the urgency to protect the natural and historical values of the region. This year he launched his most ambitious project yet: turning the centuries-old tower of Ortakent into a luxurious one-bed hotel.
