Synopsis
Castle Kogl was built in the mid 18th century by the counts of Khevenhueller. In the 2nd half of the 19th century it was bought by the family of the present owners and was then renovated and rebuilt to its present form at the beginning of the 20th century.

Situated in a lovely hilly landscape near one of the larger lakes of Salzkammergut, Austria, it was only used by the family and numerous guests in the summer months for generations. Finally, one of the sons, his wife and four children decided to make it their home. Since then work has never stopped.

Monika has roamed the vast attic of Kogl, carefully renovated the numerous guestrooms and modernized the bathrooms. The different drawing rooms, the hall with its impressive frescos by Engelhart and Komlóssy, the grand dining room with its painting by Pausinger, the old kitchen and the chapel have all been cautiously preserved.

Castle Kogl and its vast park can now be rented out for celebrations or for a luxury holiday. www.schloss-kogl.at
