Synopsis
The German couple who have lived here for 20 years, embarked on a huge project to remodel the house, with a new kitchen and bathroom, as well as garden space with another bedroom and bathroom for guests.
Because of planning, they had to sink the living space in a glass box into the ground, and there are some fabulous archirtectural touches, such as the totally glass box shower in the loft extension, and the metal slide and swing which are part of the garden room. Reinhard’s more lavish design ideas are kept in check by the practical Bele, who has an eye for a bargain.
