Twenty years ago Rachel Doherty was taking a walk along the beach in Quogue in the Hamptons with a friend when they noticed these eccentric wooden structures on the dunes.

Synopsis
Rachel's friend Christine was so impressed with the unique doughnut design of the structures that she bought two studio apartments and worked with Rachel Doherty Design to combine them into one living space. The upper floor with 180 degree views consists of the family’s living areas and the lower floor was designed for the children.
