Synopsis
The owner, Anna de Keyser , was a former fashion buyer, working with Christian Lacroix, which hugely influenced her passion for colour, texture and all things French, on show throughout the house. She installed the collected and carefully curated contents of her former London townhouse to great effect, in her country home, even altering curtains etc. to fit. Her home is warm, inventing, eclectic and sometimes quirky, but it is beautiful and inspirational. She covets vintage textiles, gorgeous, largely floral oil paintings, chandeliers and candelabras, an astonishing collection of myriad mirrors (French and Italian) as well as eclectic baroque style furniture from a variety of periods, including two upholstered' thrones'. Vintage textiles add warmth and character to living and bedrooms. The garden and upper terrace (off the master bedroom) are suffused in floriferous blooms (and her 4 pet dogs!), it’s a real haven. Anna has recently offered rooms, Boutique B and B, it’s a real find!
