Synopsis
'I'd had one journey too many on the tube and just decided to move out of London and live in Hove,' says Alex. That was in 2003 and she worked as a nanny and teacher. 'I bought this place with my sister. I'd heard Poet's Corner was up and coming so we looked round there and this one was bigger than the others with a decent size garden and the loft already converted. We looked once and didn't bother to come back - just bought it. When we got the keys it was different to how I remembered - I thought there was big kitchen cupboard that wasn't actually there! But I did remember how colourful it was with purples, blues and pinks and of course the woodchip because - wherever I go - the woodchip is always there...'
