Nicky and Joachim Thomson

Designers Nicky and Joachim Thomson have totally renovated their Georgian Grade II listed terraced house from top to bottom, with Joachim’s love of retro and mid century pieces bringing colour and character into the four storey property.

Synopsis
Nicky, a Scottish knitwear designer initially bought the house and did some modernising, but after meeting Joachim, who is French/Iranian, he sold his flat and moved in and they embarked on a renovation together. Nicky sometimes fights to curb Joachim’s enthusiasm for collecting, and pares down his hoard so they and their two daughters don’t get overwhelmed. He has now started an online business, placecalledspace.com to sell off the excess.
