Synopsis
When Mark Sargeant first saw his basement flat in 2006, he immediately realised its potential. Fed up with poor transport links from Wapping and being nowhere near his friends, Mark decided to buy his first home in the salubrious area of Barnsbury, North London. Although somewhat shabby inside, Mark could see this being his home “I had viewed so many places where I was left feeling disappointed” says Mark “ but this one looked like the photos. It was in a lovely quiet residential area and I really liked the road”. After the initial sale fell through, Mark bought his flat.
