Synopsis
Lucette von Rothkirch Lucette, a former interior designer, lives in this 15th century farm with her five dogs and a few horses. She and her daughter were on holiday in this region thirty years ago and immediately fell in love with this property, spending the last thirty years renovating the ruinous outhouses and barns. The renovation of the farmhouse itself was done with delicate sensitivity, using many rough and natural materials like terracotta, Bourgondic hard stone and old roof tiles, and is mostly original, only conceding to a little contemporary comfort. The old dovecote is now a small holiday home, and stables have been transformed to a cosy sitting room. Lucette and her daughter hope to one day open a bed and breakfast.
