Laura Fletcher

When Laura's family first set eyes on The Maltings, an early 18th century town house in the pretty port of Wivenhoe, it had been for a sale a long while. It was empty, boarded up and very neglected.

Synopsis
Despite this, they kept coming back to look and eventually bought the house a few years ago. Inside the house they found a mish mash of styles, and part of it had been made into a separate flat. But with the help of a builder who specialised in old buildings, and a lot of determination, the house was lovingly restored. Laura's own textiles have been used in the soft furnishings throughout the house, and her favourite colour palette, inspired by the sea give this pretty townhouse a soft and calming tranquillity.
