Synopsis
Everybody dreams of living by the sea, for the salty breeze, the whisper of the waves and a beech stretching on forever. Keely and Thomas Deininger are no exception. As Keely says; “when I was little my parents took us to beaches in South Wales for holidays and so naturally I wanted my children to enjoy similar weekends by the sea.”
They investigated practically every sea side resort on the South Coast and one day happened to read an article about Whitstable renowned for its oysters. “The Bank Holiday weekend was coming up, so we planned an exploration trip. We booked to view a property right on the water but it was next to the tennis club and I thought the sound of tennis balls would drive us mad. We happened to park a few hundred yards away from the beach outside another house which was also for sale. We knocked on the door and were smitten. That afternoon we put in at the asking price. Six weeks later it was ours.”
