Synopsis
He may now be a Bermondsey boy by adoption, but Juliano de Lorenzi Cancelier Da Cruz, to give him his full name, is still a Brazilian-born sun lover. So when he decided, after several years of renting, to buy a property in London, one of his priorities was a sunny location. ‘I had been looking for a place for two years,’ he remembers. ‘Coming from a tropical country, I needed to see the sun, and from the estate agent’s floor plan, I saw that the property was west-facing and would be bright.’ Another priority was space to work. He is in the travel business and often works from home but, although the flat only had one bedroom, Juliano reckoned there would be space for a console table-cum-desk in the sitting room.
