Synopsis
When Julia Peters, and her family bought the very dilapidated, Victorian house in Hampshire, the kitchen was how it had been originally with a series of small dark rooms at the back of the house. It needed drastic measures to bring it up to the 21st century. With 4 children and a party, catering business the kitchen needed to be the hub of the house. With the help of interior designer Heather Gratton it was transformed into a light open space. The white slick units are combined with rustic stone floor slabs, white Aga and a wood burning stove, creating a contemporary country style, while wall to wall folding doors open right out connecting the house to the garden. The result a large, modern light filled room with all the comforts of a country kitchen.
