Synopsis
Isobel and Adam Scott bought their spacious Victorian apartment a couple of years ago, from a developer who had divided the impressive stone villa into four apartments. The bathrooms were very neutral and quite modest for the scale of the building, they had been tucked into small rooms at the back of the house. ‘Once we had settled into our home we were keen to inject some character into the bathrooms, to bring them into keeping with the rest of our home’ Isobel explains. The apartment abounds with period features, elaborate cornicing and high skirtings adorn the high ceilinged front rooms, the rooms at the back are more modest and may have once been servants quarters. ‘We wanted to expose the solidity of the Victorian building and add some industrial styling inspired by our love of New York Deco and the original loft living movement. Andy Warhol might have had a bathroom like this!’
