Having followed her husband around the world during his work for Shell, Isa de la Porte tried finally to settle with her four children in the UK.

Synopsis
However the weather depressed her and in 2001 the couple bought a 19th century farmhouse in Provence, where they had previously a small holiday home. They extended the old farmhouse while keeping the local style. Beams were exposed, recycled tiles were laid on the floor and a traditional red ochre shade was used on the kitchen units. The kitchen itself opens onto a large shady terrace where most meals are taken.
