Synopsis
This house was purchased in 1976 by John Richardson in a semi derelict state and in need of structural repairs. Mr. Richardson a former borough councillor for Camden became one of the founders of the Camden History Society and is an author of several works of London history and a publisher of other works in particular the Past series. The restoration and conservation of the house has been done the work of many commissioned by him and his wife, Helen English. Helen practised as a lawyer in copyright. Helen removed the 5 layers of paint on the stairs and cleaned the cornices in several rooms and hallways.
