Heidi Maude

Belgian Heidi Maude’s interest in vintage pieces began “out of necessity” when she was a student in Antwerp. “I realised that the charity shops had some of the best bits and pieces,” she recalls.

Synopsis
Now living in London with her British husband, Gavin, a solicitor, and their two children, Ella, 13, and Louis, 9, her passion for antiques and vintage design continues, and she is a regular at flea markets both close to home and abroad. This Edwardian house in north London provided her with the lateral space she needed for her collections, which span everything from vintage glass bottles to antique buttons. “These things are all part of our heritage, I could bore people forever with their stories,’ she says. For me, they are what give a home its soul.”
