Synopsis
Seduced by its magical atmosphere, they decided to restore the late 18th century property, as well as its outbuildings. The task the couple took on was monumental: the building had at one point been divided into seven flats, so many of the original features needed reinstating, from fireplaces to windows and the roof. Fortunately, the couple’s professions – Mener is a property developer and Jackie, an interior designer – stood them in good stead, and they have painstakingly worked to get the details just right. The home and its 15 acres of parkland is now a welcome retreat for the couple and their three children, and proves the perfect location for large family gatherings.
