Synopsis
With a quieter, more tranquil house, when her three children, Ewan, Lindsay and Hope had all left home for university, Gill Hastings decided to demolish the dilapidated lean to conservatory. It had served them as a family room and been dominated for a long time by teenagers. ‘We wanted to transform it into a permanent living space, to enjoy the garden all year round. I wanted to be able to use it for Christmas and make it as homely as possible with festive lighting and accessories’ she explains. With an extraordinary view, overlooking the Gareloch, they are now in there daily. ‘It can be hard to tear yourself away in fact’, Gill admits.
