Combine a passion for retro chic with an appetite for a challenge, and you can see how textile designer Deborah Sparks has made her mark on the Somerset village home she shares with her husband Jon and daughter, Verity,“I nearly didn’t even view this house, because it’s near a main road, but as soon as I walked in, I knew it was the right one,” she smiles, “It had a really cosy feel, especially with the wood-burner in the living room, and although it looked pretty awful inside, I could see how lovely it could be.”
