Synopsis
A 200 m2 classic apartment dating back to the early nineteenth century.
The interconnecting pieces go around the entrance hall. Living spaces are face to face: the dining room-kitchen on one side and the study, sitting room and TV room on the other side. The private rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms, are located on the other two sides.
The project: to turn a former office into an apartment was the task complete successfully by interior designer Daphne. The owners, a young couple of doctors, let her carte blanche to renovate the place. The partitions are removed to find the original volumes. The classical ornaments, moldings, trumeau, wooden floor, are restored and enhanced. Bathrooms and kitchen are created. The kitchen cabinetry, bookcase and dressing in corian are designed by Daphne and custom made.
The style: A French style, elegant and refined, modernized by contemporary furniture, design suspensions and modern colours.
