When photographer Alex and stylist Clare MacDonald first saw this double fronted, Victorian, terraced house in Brixton, south London, they knew instantly they could transform it from a collection of dingy student bedsits into a lovely family home.

Synopsis
They began work almost immediately, and after knocking out several of the ground floor walls, uncovering the beautiful wooden floors and restoring the original fireplaces and cornices, the result was a stunning light filled space.
