Claire Fletcher

Getting away from the hassles of home life and pressure of deadlines is a relatively quick and simple thing for illustrators Claire Fletcher and Peter Quinnell. The couple get on their bicycles and head to their beach hut in St Leonards.

Synopsis
At the pebble beach front they prop the biked against the wall of the bright blue beach hut, undo the paddocks and shutters and settle in for the a day of seagull watching and beach combing. If it is a cool they sit indoors, Fletcher on the single iron bedstead piled up with crocheted blankets, patchwork cushions and old quilts, while Quinnell temporarily takes up residence at the zinc top table by the door.
