Synopsis
A fairytale of a Chateau, with gleaming white Rapunzel tower and all manner of fantasies to be found throughout the stunning gardens. The Château, which lies just to the south of Chinon in the Loire Valley, dates back to the 15th century and has been creatively renovated by its current owners Patricia and Eric Laigneau. Patricia is a talented garden designer, gardener and cook and created an oversized potager, known as the ‘Gargantuan Potager’, which spills with regional varieties of fruits and vegetables. She grows a wide selection of pumpkins and squashes, many making their way onto the garden restaurant menu stuffed or as delicious sauces for spaghetti and soups. Patricia also makes jams from the decorative Persimmon tree and the figs which decorate the walls of the courtyard.
