Synopsis
This loft space was once occupied by two factories and an ancient forge dating from the 16th century. The lounge is located at the exact spot where the forge once stood: the ceiling, with its wooden beams and concrete walls expose the industrial past of the building. Bouwe wanted to keep the spirit of the place and likes to furrow around town to find the pieces of furniture that compliment, but also what takes his fancy at the moment. "My style is a mixture of vintage and industrial elements," explains the owner. "I not only scour the shops and markets, I also search for interesting objects on the net. It has become a real hobby. The vintage Mazzega chandelier, a creation of Aldo Nason dating from 1960’s, is a love of his. "I'm never going to be separated from it" he confessed. Dotted around are small retro tables, a Moroccan tea table and a large sofa with simple styling.
