Synopsis
Barry, a builder, developer and artist had always loved the Bauhaus style architecture and wanted to build something with real presence in a contemporary style. What followed was a dramatic story of disaster and health issues and Barry and Julie's dream house almost failed to materialise.
A double hip replacement, a heart attack, a fire, bank loan refusals and a global economic crisis were major causes of heartache. However, the glass, concrete and steel four storey, 8,300 square foot LA-style mansion was completed and its curved walls and hovering bedroom pod have become a well known sight.
