Since the original property belonged to the coast guard it is in a unique location with water exposure on both the ocean side and the bay side in the Hamptons.

Synopsis
The main house was updated over the years by previous owners which made it unstable and eventually had to be demolished. The new owners were allowed to rebuild the main house to replicate the original and to make renovations to the cottage while being sensitive to the waterfront location and all existing conditions. Designer John Bjornen and APD architects worked together to modernise the property creating modern luxuries and accessible hi-tech elements.
